A Garden for Mabhawu
The Mabhawu soup kitchen feeds around 72 children a day, and the elderly who can't cook for themselves. The chief gave it a building; we repaired it and fenced it. Now we want to plant a garden behind that fence so the kitchen can grow its own food instead of waiting on the next donation.
We've seen this work. Our chicken project at Hlobani is already covering its own costs. A garden at Mabhawu does the same for the children who eat there every day.
We're raising R15,000 to get the ground ready, the water in, and the first beds planted. Every rand goes straight to the garden.
